As part of showcasing and publicizing this project:
You'll be interviewed by me before and after the photo shoot to find out your views on being a woman over 50 as well as how you felt being photographed.
Those interviews or parts of them may be shared on my website and social media to promote the project and my studio.
Some before and after makeover photos may be shown to help demonstrate the full experience.

As one of my "50 WOMEN OVER 50" women you will receive:
Pre-consultation with me to discuss how you want to be photographed, what outfits you would like to wear (from your closet or my studio
wardrobe), moods, etc.
Hair and makeup done on the day of the photo shoot (you will feel amazing!)
Fully guided professional photo shoot where I will help you pose from position down to fingertips and expression. Studio experience is usually 3-4 hours total. Images will be professionally retouched prior to presentation.
A reveal and ordering session where you can see all your beautiful photographs, choose a complimentary 7x10 print matted to 11x14 and have the opportunity to purchase more.
Your photos and possibly video will be published on social media.
The gallery enlargement will be YOURS to take home after the celebration!
One copy of the "50 WOMEN OVER 50" 2020 edition magazine that will highlight each participant's photos and story highlights (extra copies will be available for purchase).
1 ticket to the gallery celebration at the completion of the project
(additional tickets available for purchase).

why me and why now?
Although I've been photographing people since I was in my early 20's - it wasn't until the year I turned 50 that I finally practiced what I preached and had a professional photo session to celebrate the milestone. It was an incredibly scary idea to be in front of the camera instead of behind it. I had gained weight, was starting to see the lines creep in and had zero interest in having my portraits done at that time. It was a jolt through my body when I saw 2 photographers looking for women over 50 ONLY and I immediately filled out the contact form. It was the quickest transformation I have ever felt to know someone was actually looking to photograph me - not a model, no longer the picture of youth, stories, lessons and insecurities in hand. The next year I lost my younger sister. It was a hard and painful reminder that tomorrows are not promised. That your family, friends and children will not care about those extra 40 lbs or the wrinkles around your eyes - all they will see are the things they loved about you, the way you made them feel and it made me love my photographs even more. My session done when I turned 50 is perfectly imperfect just like me. I treated myself to that shoot as a gift to myself and to my children. If you have found my project - there is a reason - it's your time to be seen, you deserve it...
